Anglers now allowed to Target Bluefin Tuna
The UK Chart programme has finally been approved, with anglers now allowed to Target Bluefin Tuna under licence from mid August.
Fifteen selected boats will take part in the scientific trial to establish whether a sustainable catch and release fishery is viable in UK waters.
The hope is that if successful it will be opened to the wider charter boat and private community bringing much needed revenue and fishing tourism to the south west.
